On 21-23 October 2021, the 4th ENGSO European Sport Platform was held in Vilnius, Lithuania. There, the project STARTING 11 was presented to the international dual career community.
Hosted by the Lithuanian Sports University and Lithuanian Union of Sports Federations, and organised in partnership with the European Lotteries, European Association for Sport Management and the EU-funded project CHAMP, the conference was dedicated to the theme “Inspire Innovation in Grassroots Sports”. Dual career served as one core topic of the event.
In their individual speeches, both Wolfgang Stockinger (TW1N) and Laura Capranica (EAS) showcased the European Dual Career Toolkit and, simultaneously, had to inform about the required postponement of the STARTING 11 Conference. Alongside his presentation, Wolfgang Stockinger gave the organisers a flash interview on the importance of a dual career for athletes. Read the interview here.
